"Element not found" error pops up if clicked in the Chart

The problem happens when the ocx is hosted in CAxWindow.
When the control is clicked anywhere, the error "Element not found" is popped up.

The error screenshot and a sample application have been attached.
Thanks a lot for any help!

(The problem is a huge blocker for us. I have already logged the bug, but there is no response yet.)

Environment:
MFC with ATL support
Visual Studio 2013
Windows 7 64bit
