Hi,

I am using TeeChart OCX7.0.1.4 on a VS 2008 - VB in Vista Ultimate PC and cannot turn isolation on, I receive the errors listed below. Have reinstalled the operating system VS and TeeChart. The listing below is from a single Windows forms project with one form with a TeeChart OCX. I can't publish projects which include TeeChart OCX7 using Clickonce. Please help urgently.

Hi Tom,

I'm afraid we are not too much familiarized with isolated and clickonce features but, after some investigation through the web, and taking in consideration what's explained here and here, we made a vb project in a vista machine with visual studio 2008 and worked fine in another vista machine without teechart7.ocx registered.

We simply created a new vb application (tested with framework 2.0 and also 3.5), added an axteechart to the form, enabled Isolated property of axteechart component and activated the clickonce feature at project options. Do you think we are missing any relevant step?

It may be interesting if you send us a simple example project we can run "as-is" to reproduce the problem here.

Thanks for your input. As previously described, when creating a simple Clickonce project with TeeChart 7 OCX and building it I am getting the warnings noted above. However, when installing on another machine Teechart7 OCX registers successfully.

The problem arises when I build my solution containing multiple projects, turning isolation true when publishing the resulting package will fail to register TeeChart during installation. In this case TeeChart7 ocx is not in the startup project (and I have the same 65 warnings).

By adding a form which includes TeeChart7 ocx to my startup project, rebuilding the solution, publishing it with isolation turned on, it will install and register the ocx (and I have the same 65 warnings).

This behaviour appeared before and after rebuilding my PC and with TeeChart7 and TeeChart8 eval. OCX.

As an output of this exercise I got my Clickonce solution working, I am happy and customer is happy for that but there are definately some issues there.

I have uploaded my simple project to your site.

Thanks for your project and feedback. I've been able to run your application and reproduce the 65 warnings.

I've added this issue to the wish list to be investigated for future releases (TA05013078).
