HeatMap with datetime axis

Is it possible to have a heatmap with a datetime axis?
Is it even possible to set custom values / labels on the x axis ?

After trying serveral combinations it seems that colorGrid.data.x[] is not connected to the data in colorGrid.data.values[] at all. The x-axis just displays the array position of the value.

Did we overlook something or can you confirm this?
If so, so you plan to make it work? We would very much appreciate, as we want to use the heatmap for time series data that can have gaps.
