Problem with TeeChart 7 Chart Editor, Delphi 7 Pro

Post by Warwick » Fri Apr 02, 2004 8:50 am

Hello,
I are getting the following error when the TChartEditor is invoked at runtime.
"Error reading CBDirection.Items.Strings : A Call to an OS funtion failed"

This is occuring on a particular Win98 SE machine and only when a specific chart is displayed, I have been unable to reproduce it on any other computer.

The software is built using Delphi 7 Pro, TeeChart 7 VCL (without source)

Can anyone help?
Many thanks.
Warwick

No, I have access to one other Win98 SE machine but it works fine on that one. I am able to reproduce the exact same chart and data but I do not experience the error. Though it occurs ever time on the original machine. Its rather odd.

Yes, you're the first person with this problem. Maybe the unique solution is to reinstall all again ?

I'll try reinstalling on the target machine tomorrow and will let you know how I get on.

Hi,
I reinstalled my application on the problem PC and we can no longer break it.
Its a little strange that it happened in the first place, but at least the fault has gone away. I'm happy now
Thanks Pep for your input.
