In order to be able to take over the work of my colleague, I need to use version 7.
Unfortunately I now get a compile error saying that this or that TeeChart mudule was compiled with the wrong RTLversion.
I have uninstalled TeeChart version 6.01, installed Delphi RTL update 1, 2, and 3.
(standard updates were installed long ago)
Then compiled/installed version 7 and still I get the error.
In the file TeeDefs.inc it looks like I need an RTLVersion of minimum 14.5 in order to define D6, but only 14.0 in order to define Kylix K3.
To my knowledge my current RTLversion is 14.31.
Could I simply change some of this and get on to my work, or what else is wrong ?
Edit: Come to think about it. I also have Borland BDS 4.0 installed.
Maybe that somehow takes over when TeeRecompile runs?
If so, how do I work around that ?
Edit 2:
Have now tried to compile the package form inside Delphi 6. It uses the same RTL version during all compiles, I guess.
Have also downloaded ver. 7.12 and installed that.
Same result, I am afraid
Or are there some files elsewhere, that needs to be removed before any of this install is started?
Fully updated but still wrong RTLversion in TeeChart V. 7

Hi ole,
There should be no problem with BDS 4.0 and Delphi 6. They can coexist in the same machine with TeeChart installed. Also, TeeRecompile doesn't mix packages of different IDEs.
Which is the exact error message you are getting? It could give us some idea of where the problem might be.
Thanks in advance.

I think I have solved it now!
I recompiled the whole thing using Delphi (with all its updates), and then remembered to copy the newly compiled components, DCUs etc. into the directories made by the installer.
Partly a so called Error 40.
Where the error is located 40 cm from the screen (roughly 16 inches)
(Do you have an expression like that in the US, or is it just Danish humor ? )

Hi ole,
I'm glad to hear you solved the issue. Anyway, TeeRecompile should do all the job for you about copying new files and so.

I don't know if the Americans have any similar expression but this but we are in Catalonia and I can't think of a similar expression in Catalan at the moment.Partly a so called Error 40.
