TeeChart 2014 for XE5
windows 7 Pro.

after running the install and starting the IDE I get this message:
The procedure Entry point @VCLtee@Teeprocs@TeeTranslateControl$qqrxp25System!Classes@TComponent could not be located in the dynamic link library Tee919.pbl
after dismissal of dialog this message:
Can't load package C:\Program Files\Steema Software\TeeChart 2014 for RAD XE5\Delphi19.win32\Bin\DclTeePro919.bpl. The specified procedure could not be found.

I have verified the path.
Under the Installed packages:
TeeChart Pro 2014 for FireMonkey Components and
TeeChart Pro 2014 VCL Components
are Un-Checked and when you try to load them you get the same error message as above.
I have uninstalled an re-installed three times, I have rebooted once. I also tried Installation "as Administrator"
any ideas?

I can't reproduce this here in a Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 with RAD Studio XE5 and TeeChart Pro v2014.10.
Could you please specify:
- Is your OS 32 or 64bits?
- Has your IDE only Delphi personality or both Delphi and C++Builder?
- The TeeChart version you have installed (I understand it's v2014.10), is it Standard, Pro, SourceCode Standard or the SourceCode Pro version?

Windows 7 pro 32 bit
Delphi only
TeeChart Standard

please note on this same box I have Delphi 2007 installed and TeeChart 8.

I've created a Virtual Machine, installed Windows 7 32bit, installed all the Windows updates, installed Delphi XE5 with Update 2, installed more Windows updates, installed TeeChart Standard v2014.10. I can open the IDE without getting any error, and I can create a Delphi project with a TChart in it without problems.
Am I missing something?
Do you have access to another machine to check it?

I will try this weekend. could it have to do with having Version 8 (for Delphi 2007) installed on the same workstation?

I wanted to try installing one more time. I uninstalled and went to the Steema website and found an updated installer dated 5/12/2014. I installed it and the Fire monkey components installed ok, but the TeeChart Pro 2014 VCL components did not. there is a new error message it reads:
"Cannot load package 'Tee919' it contains unit 'VCLtee.TeeConst' which is also contained in package 'Tee9190'".
followed by the message:
Registration Procedure.vcltee@teechartexp.register in package C:\program files\steema software\teeChart 2014 for RAD XE5\Delphi19.win32\bin\DCLTeePro919.bpl raised exception class Exception: Cannot register an unnamed Wizard.

any help would be appreciated.

The error message "Cannot load package Tee9XX. It contains unit *, which is also contained in package Tee9XX0" indicates that the TeeChart package that was shipped with the IDE (Tee9XX0) is still trying to be loaded, and this creates a conflict with the version you've just installed.

Note XX above refers to the IDE number. For XE6 it's 20, XE5 was 19, XE4 was 18,...

In your case, please, unselect the TeeChart Standard package shipped with the IDE (Tee9190), and you should be able to safely select the TeeChart Pro/Std commercial package (Tee919).

That did it, I had to go into the Bin folder for XE5 and I renamed the Tee9190.bpl file, but the components are there. thanks for all your help.

I have the same problem, but this "back door fix" (to rename a file in the bin directory) does not work.

I uninstalled FastReport.

Any ideas?

What is the exact error message you are getting?

Then the reply above should also be valid for you.
If you've already unselected TeeChart Standard package shipped with the IDE (Tee9190) but you still find the same error in a new simple application with just a chart on the form, then note any 3rd party tool you may have installed can also be referencing TeeChart Standard package shipped with the IDE, and thus causing a conflict. Please try to unselect temporally any 3rd party tool package you may have installed in the list of packages.

My point is that the reply above was not valid. I tried every suggestion, without success.

However..

I got an update for DevExpress yesterday. And after updating (with one alarming error message) TeeChart suddenly works fine. And there are no problems (yet) with applications that use DevExpress.

So my problem is solved, though I have no idea why...

Why doesn't TeeChart come up with with an installation method similar to DevExpress?? DevExpress has such a straight forward installation!!
