Installation Procedure Overview for use on PDAs

I installed the .NET version into my Visual Studio .NET 2003 and it is not working.

I downloaded the .NET software and ran the .exe. It seemed to work, but when I tried to add it to the toolbox, I got some kind of missing component warning. Not sure what it was because I didn't look at it very close and it hasn't given me the warning again. TChart shows up in the toolbox, but it is grayed out and I can't drop it on my form. The form is in a smart device application, not a regular windows application if that matters. I did not try to create a windows application to see if the plots worked in the normal windows environment.

I've tried different things such as uninstalling everything and installing the active X stuff first, etc. I could not really find a good step by step description of how to install this for use with the compact framework on smart device applications. Could someone please step me through installing this software for that use?

Hi cw,

TeeChart for .NET for Pocket PC only works at run-time. However latest TeeChart for .NET v2 maintenance release, available at our customer download area, includes TeeChart.Pocket.dll support at design-time. This only works at design time with Visual Studio .NET 2003.

BTW: A Compact Framework demo can be found with the examples included with TeeChart for .NET installation.
