"Choose toolbox items" crashes VB.NET 2008 Express

I just installed TeeChart.net "Pro" version 3 on an XP machine. In VB Express 2008, when I pick "Choose toolbox items" from the menu, the VB enviroment crashes. I had been evaluating TeeChart lite and had no such problem. I uninstalled the lite version prior to installing the "pro" version.
As another note suggested, I am able to drag the teechart.dll onto the Toolbox and access the TeeChart items BUT I can no longer use the VB "Choose Toolbox Items" menu pick within ANY project, even a newly created project.
VB Express does not include the "devenv / safemode" file as a Microsoft link suggested to try.

Hi Bob P,

This is a known Visual Studio 2008 issue. Could you please read the forums thread below for more information on the problem and also a suggestion from a customer on how to solve it?

Well, yes I've read all the relevant posts and tried deleting the files to no avail. Again, I'm running VB Express 2008, not the full Visual Studio.
