Print Preview Dialog Problems

I could use the Feature Demo for TeeChart for .NET to reproduce these problems. I specifically used Welcome !\Components\ChartController example

Found the following issues when making changes to the controls on the Page and Format tabs of the print preview dialog

1. When moving the Zoom Slider Bar the chart is repainted when passing each increment. This is very unfriendly. If I want to move the slider from extreme left to all the way to the right, I have to stop and wait for a repaint at each tick mark. Sometimes a repaint takes 15 seconds or longer. The repaint should occur on a mouse up event or something similar, not on the slider change event.

2. When changing the Margin Values using using the UP/Down buttons the chart is repainted This is very unfriendly. It would be better if there was a timer that waited for a pause in my clicking and then repaints the chart.

3. When moving the Detail Resolution Slider Bar the chart is repainted when passing each increment. This is very unfriendly. 4. When I changed the Margin Units from 1/100 inch to Percent. The preview flips upside down. Not good

5. Quality checkbox does not seem to do anything. What is it supposed to do?

6. Detail Resolution slider does not seem to do anything. What is it supposed to do?

7. Annotations are not positioned correctly in the print preview. Using the Welcome !\Components\ChartController example, I added an annotation and positioned the annotation in the center of the Green triangle. I hit print preview and look at where the label ends up. It is way off position.

Thanks for reporting. I could reproduce the issues here and added them (TF02013094) to the bug list to be enhanced for future releases.

Items #5 and #6, Can you explain what these controls are supposed to do?

Yes, sorry.

5. Steema.TeeChart.Printer.UseAntiAlias Property. When true applies anti-alias to plotting Pen.

6. Steema.TeeChart.Printer.Resolution Property sets the Chart to detail resolution for printing. Valid values from from 0 to 100. Controls how screen pixels will be mapped to printer pixels. By default it's zero, meaning screen proportions will be respected when printing.

I have been encountering the same problems as Mike, have they been fixed yet? (or am I using an out of date version! )

If not when are they likely to be fixed?

No, those issues haven't been fixed yet. I have increased their priority in the list to be fixed ASAP but I'm not able to give you an estimate date at the moment.

Items 1 - 4 are pretty serious to us for our customer's experience with our application.

Can you tell me if these issue can be resolved in the near future?

They have quite a high priority in the bug list so you may expect them to be fixed in a near future. However, I can not commit to that.

Just to let you guys know that we are also waiting for this issue to be resolved. Print preview dialog is becoming an issue with increasing number of our users. Quick resolution will be greatly appreciated.
