where to install teechart

Folks, I am not quite clear where I need to install TeeChart. We have a server that houses the database (SQL Server) and the web server (IIS7). The functionality we are looking for is for TeeChart to pull data from the SQL server and graph it up based on user selection of parameters. I did buy the web server license. Do I install TeeChart on the machine that runs the web server, or do I install it on a dev machine and just some component on the web server?

Hi Dude,

You should install TeeChart in the development machine and deploy the application to the webserver as described in tutorial 17. Tutorials can be found at TeeChart's program group.

Thanks for the reply. If I would want a second developer to work with TeeChart and be able to deploy apps to the web server, would the second license also need a web service runtime license or is it one runtime license per server in which case I can use the existing one?

Hi Dude,

A developer license would be necessary for a second developer but not a new web-server license if you are both deploying applications to the same server. For further licensing inquiries please contact our Sales Dept. at sales at steema dot com.
