Is there a reason why the version number has decreased from 4.1 (4.1.2010.11300) to 4.0 (4.0.2011.02080)?

Version number decrease?
Re: Version number decrease?
Hi Jay,
In a subscription licensing system like TeeChart's, the most important is the date of the releases. In our annotation system we mark it like this: X.X.Year.MonthDayX.
We changed the 4.1.2010 to 4.0.2011 because we thought that the change of year was a clear indication of an increase in version number in and of itself. Given the confusion it can generate and it has already generated (excuse us for it), we'll be back to 4.1 in the next maintenance release.
