Installer Error

Note: I posted this in the news group but then read that I woul receive a quicker response if I posted it in the form.

I am attempting to install TeeChart Pro for Visual Studio .NET and am
recieving the following error:

c:\winnt\microsoft.net\framework\v1.1.4322\mscorwks.dll could not be loaded.

I purchased the Pro version after experimenting with the lite evaluation
version. I did not have any problem installing the lite evaluation version.

I am using visual studio 2002

Hi James,

A quick following up:

According to Lutz Roeder's Reflector (http://www.aisto.com/roeder/dotnet/), teechart.dll 's dependencies are all of v1.0.5000.0 (mscorlib.dll v1.0.5000.0, system.dll v1.0.5000.0 etc.). Could you please check to see if the copy of mscorlib.dll you have on your machine is v1.0.5000.0?

Microsoft have identified a defect which gives the same error message as you have reported:

Note that at the beginning of the article it says, "When you run an unmanaged application that links to a managed DLL"; is the application you are runnning an unmanaged application?

Steema Software will be releasing a VS2002 built copy of teechart.dll in the near future, however, feedback on the above two points would still be very useful to us.

OK I installed the version 1.1 of the framework and the install worked.

However I am developing with VS2002 I do not see the steema icons in the toolbar.

I have looked over your web site and have not found a single system requirement that states that the product does not work with VS2002.

I experimented with the product using the lite evaluation copy with VS2002 and did not have any problems. After purchasing

TeeChart Pro .NET
TeeChart Pro ActiveX
and a Web Server license

I find out that the licensed version does not support VS2002. When is this version suppose to come out. Do you have a date?

Hello,

A VS.NET.2002 compiled version of TeChart will be made available this week. In the meantime you could download the version headed 'previous version' on the customer download page (Build 1.0.1189.31308). That version was built exclusively in VS.NET.2002.
