Licence conflict

Hi,

our software refers to "TeeChart.dll" version 3.5.3330.21113

Recently I received license for version 4.0.2009.21354 , I tried installing previous setup (3.5.3330.21113) with this new license.

But with this new license I was not able to install previous version. It will be difficult for us to change the references to 4.0.2009.21354 without exhaustive testing.

I need license to 3.5.3330.21113 to install it properly or I should be able to use latest license for existing setup.

It will also be helpful for us if you can explain us the impact of changing existing references from 3.5.3330.21113 to 4.0.2009.21354.

Notice there's a much newer release of v3 available at the client area.

You shouldn't have any problem with both versions coexisting in the same machine. Your problem may be that your machine's AssemblyFolders for TeeChart now are pointing to the v2009 assemblies. You could try removing them as described here.

It will also be helpful for us if you can explain us the impact of changing existing references from 3.5.3330.21113 to 4.0.2009.21354.

The impact would be that from that moment your projects would be using v2009 instead of v3 meaning they would have acces to new features implemented in v2009. We don't expect backwards compatibility problems as this field is something we specially care about when developing new versions.

I dont have older version installed on my machine. I only have setup of that and when I try and install it with new license number and password it gives me error.

Ok, for installing old version you should use its specific keys. v2009 keys won't work for v3 installers.
