.NET Evaluation

I have just downloaded the .NET evaluation and installed it but when I run the FEATURE DEMO it says the evaluation has expired. I cannot find any assemblies. When I try a project in Visual Studio 2010 the reference to TeeChart.WPF is invalid and there are no TeeChart references in the .NET list to add.
I have started to run TeeChartNET2010VSNETWPFEval_4.1.2011.04195.exe but this states it is for Visual Studio 2005 and I am running VS2010.
Please tell me how I can evaluate your .NET version for WPF (I currently use the VCL version).

Hello RichTat,
It occurs because you installed before some version of TeeChartFor.Net Eval version. I have sent you an email with a extended for Eval version. Please execute it and please, tell me here if it works as you expect.
Thanks,

I re-ran the evaluation installation program and then ran the extended Eval version program you sent.
The 'expired' message has disappaeared but the reference to TeeChart.WPF is still invalid and there are no TeeChart entries in the .NET reference list to add when I load the WPFdemo.csproj.
In the Program Files (x86)\Steema Software\Steema TeeChart for .....\net40\x86 folder there are some .dll files.
Do I have to manually register these and copy them into the GAC, etc. . ?
Shouldn't your installation program do all of this ?
I am using Visual Studio 2010 with .NET 4.
I notice the .csproj file includes references to earlier versions 3.5.
This is all new to me after 15 years of VCL programming !
Regards
Richard

Hello Richard,
Richard I recommend you to try to solve your problem do next:
Winforms Demo:
1.- Open the Examples folder
2.- Go to C:\...\Steema Software\Steema TeeChart for .NET 2012 4.1.2012.05100\Examples\DemoProject\bin\ExecutableDemo
3.- Check if in the folder you have TeeChart.dll if it isn't here, add the TeeChart.dll.
WPF Demo:
1.- Open the WPF Demo.
2. Go to C:\...\Steema Software\Steema TeeChart for .NET 2012 4.1.2012.05100\Examples\DemoProjectWPF\bin\ExecutableDemo
3. Check if in the folder you have TeeChartWPF.dll, if it isn't here, add the TeeChartWPF.dll.
Can you tell us if it solve your problem? If it doesn't solve your problem Could you please, tell us which assemblies are there in both \bin folders and what errors appear for you? On the other hand, you can taking a look in this
link where you find more suggestions to try to solve the problems of installation.
I hope will help.
Thanks,

I uninstalled the evaluation and restarted the computer.
I ran the installation program TeeChartNET2012EVAL_4.1.2012.05104.exe.
This also tried to install SlimDX - that part failed and finished with an error because it reported that some files were in use even though no other application programs were running.
I restarted the computer.
The folder \Program Files (x86)\Steema Software\Steema TeeChart for .NET 2012 Evaluation 4.1.2012.05104\Examples\DemoProject\bin\Executable Demo contains files TeeChart.dll, TeeChart.Video.dll, TeeChartNetExamples.exe
The folder \Program Files (x86)\Steema Software\Steema TeeChart for .NET 2012 Evaluation 4.1.2012.05104\Examples\DemoProjectWPF\bin\Executable Demo .contains files TeeChart.WPF.dll, TeeChartWPFDemo.exe.
Both these demo programs run satisfactorily.
My problem still remains and your suggested link has no relevant information..
When I start VS2010 and open the project
\Program Files (x86)\Steema Software\Steema TeeChart for .NET 2012 Evaluation 4.1.2012.05104\Examples\DemoProjectWPF\WPFDemo.csproj
The reference to TeeChart.WPF is invalid and there are no TeeChart entries in the .NET references list to add to the project.
I attach your .csproj file.
How do I add the TeeChart assemblies to the Visual Studio 2010 list of references ?
Regards - Richard

Yes - problem solved - the solution now compiles and runs - thank you.
I cannot find any clear instructions on deployment or use of the .dll assemblies - the tutorial content implies that I have to do all the GAC registration manually.
Is there a summary description of the namespace assemblies anywhere ?
For example, what is the difference between TeeChart.WPF.dll and TeeChart.WPF.Client.dll ?
Or should I always deploy all of the assemblies for a TeeChart application ?
Regards
Richard.

Hi Richard,
Is there a summary description of the namespace assemblies anywhere ?
Yes, TeeChartNET4.chm available at the Docs folder included in the installation and also at TeeChart's program group.
For example, what is the difference between TeeChart.WPF.dll and TeeChart.WPF.Client.dll ?
The .NET Framework 4 Client Profile is a subset of the .NET Framework 4 that is optimized for client applications. Latest versions of TeeChart have incorporated aseemblies compiled in .Net Framework 4 Client Profile called TeeChart.*Client.dll that allow create Client Profile applications. For more information about Client Profile subset you can see
its documentation.
Or should I always deploy all of the assemblies for a TeeChart application ?
No, you should only use and deploy those assemblies which are necessary for the application. Adding unnecessary assemblies would only make the application "heavier".
