Installation impossible: TeeChart TeeChartNET2014_4.1.2014.0

I am currently trying to install TeeChartNET2014_4.1.2014.05090.exe on my computer (Windows 7 64 Bit), which I downloaded through the website for registered versions. However, I cannot get this to work. This is as a preparation for an upgrade of the Steema TeeChart for .NET for team of 10 developers. The version we have been using until now is Steema TeeChart for .NET 2012 4.1.2012.01310.
The installer used to be a PITA, but now it is completely impossible to use. I used the activation website to activate the software for the installation because of proxy problems, but I just cannot get the installer to download the required files through our proxy. So far I tried
• Direct download => didn’t work. Well, this was to be expected
• Manual proxy configuration without user/password => didn’t work
• Manual proxy configuration with user/password => didn’t work
• A local installation of cntlm, a local proxy that transparently handles NTLM authentication => didn’t work
Nothing has worked so far. Can you provide us with a full download, i.e. one that will not try to download stuff from the internet?
BTW, even when the installation fails the software is registered as installed in Windows. There is a directory but no DLLs, only the help files and a Utils directory. If I try to reinstall, the installer creates another Utils directory within Utils and then cannot find the binaries in that directory until the user manually moves them one level up. The tab order on the installer forms for proxy input is broken, and I have to enter proxy information two times, once for activation and once for product download. This is really bad.
If I cannot get this to work soon, we will start migrating away from TeeChart with our .NET products and use DevExpress’s charting capabilities instead. As we are using DevExpress anyway.
