TeeChart for Xamarin.Forms 2016 v4.0.2016.05310 available

Steema is very pleased to announce a new maintenance release of TeeChart for Xamarin.Forms!

This release, which comes with registered, evaluation and full source code installers, is available at https://www.steema.com/product/forms.

All licence holders of TeeChart for Xamarin.Forms 2015 can now access this new full release binary installer from Steema's Customer Download pages.

The maintenance release adds ColorGrid series for Xamarin.Forms and also contains many bug fixes and enhancements. The release notes for the build can be viewed at https://www.steema.com/version_info/forms/last.

I think the file TeeChartXamarinForms-4.0.2016.05310-windows.exe downloaded from https://www.steema.com/ma_registered_versions is broken.

When I download it (it is less than 2 mb) and try to install it, the following message is displayed: "This app can't run on your PC". I am using Windows 10.

I am having some problems again, this time on Mac Os.

When I input our license number and password in the installer and click next, the following error message is shown:

Error running mono "/Applications/Steema Software/Teechart for Xamarin Forms 2016 4.0.2016.05310/Utils/TeeCalc/TeeCalc.exe" Here are displayed some numbers, including our password :/bin/sh: mono: command not found

The device is with OS X El Capitan 10.11.15.

Hi Ilia,

This is a known issue with newer OS X versions which fail to run a .NET application via the Mono framework from the installer script. For now, the only solution I can think of is copying the Windows installation files to the Mac, they are exactly the same files.

The installer script is not able to find mono under its current location but using the absolute path (/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/Current/bin/mono) solves the problem. So you may expect this being fixed in the next release.

Install TeeChart for Xamarin.Forms on a Windows machine and copy the files the installer generated over to the Mac, they are exactly the same files. If that's not possible for you we'd try to copy the files from the installer to a .zip file and send it.

The only solution I could get to work was modifying the installer script with the absolute path to Mono and generating new installers. This should be fixed for the following release.
