Rotating 3D series

Hello,

I have a 3D series where the pointer style is circles.

When rotating the chart 90 degrees the spots become flat. Is there a way to display the spots as a circle even when the chart is rotated?

(I have tried to use the style sphere, but then I get a square (that also gets flat when I rotate it).

Regards Elisabeth

Hello Elisabeth,

Yes, you are right. I've been able to reproduce this behaviour here. I can see that the only style which works is square.

I have added this bug to our deffect lists so that a fix for this will be considered for future releases.

Hi,

Luckily, we are almost 3 years later, and this problem still doesn't seem to be fixed!

Is there any workaround or something? I can't find a way to make my data points three-dimensional on a 3D plot... :?

Best,

Hi Michal,

Currently full 3d rendering of points is supported with TeeChart's OpenGL canvas. There are no plans to introduce that in the current version for conventional chart rendering. It has been added as a feature request for a future version.
