Maybe a bug: the mark tip tool has no effect on the vector 3d. (standard marks work well) Possible you can fix this for the next maintenance rel?

Yes, you are right. MarkTips tool is not implemented for some 3D series type. I've already added your request to our "wish-list" to be considered for future releases.
