Problem With SurfaceNearest + OpenGL

Hi,
I´m trying to create a surface with a surfaceNearest tool.
The problem is that I need my chart to use OpenGL, since there are
3d Bubbles on it.
But it seems that the tool stops working when I turn my chart into OpenGL
Is there a way to avoid this ?
