TeeChart.dll - .NET 1.1 and 2.0 Versions

Post by CAfIT » Wed Nov 19, 2008 2:49 pm

Hi,

We currently use TeeChart.dll v2.0.2306.26231 which is built against the .NET 1.1 framework for both the .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0 versions of our application.

Just for our .NET 2.0 application I wanted to use the latest TeeChart.dll built against .NET 2.0 framework by installing TeeChartNET2VSNET2005.exe (dated 6th March 2008).

On trying to build the .NET 1.1 version of our product in VS2003 I received a compile error about an incompatible version in the licenses.licx file.

Is it possible to use two different versions of the TeeChart.dll?

Thanks for your help.

Hi CAfIT,

Probably yes but you should be very careful with TeeChart's AssemblyFolders as described here and your project's TeeChart.dll references. Please check they are the ones you'd like to use and also upgrade licenses.licx information if necessary. As described in Tutorial 17 - Designtime, Runtime and License Requirements, at the Licensing setup for design and runtime section, you can use a generic, "version-less" version of licenses.licx.

Hope this helps!
