Patterns buttons

In previous versions of TChart you used to have a lot of places where "Patterns" button would appear, allowing users to set up the brush style (and nothing else). Now, in the .NET version, the same name is used for an editor, which is setting up a lot more, than just brush style. It is where you go to change solid color, set the brush style, set up gradient option, or assign an image. I like, how all these options are finally grouped together, so I do not to have to think, if I need to undo one, before I set the other. The only problem here - you still use the same name: "Pattern". So, if I am a user, who is using your product for years, how do I know, that now to set up gradient, I need to push the "Pattern" button (it will not even come to my mind - I know exactly, what it does, and it is NOT what I need today). I think, it would be much more user friendly, if you'd give it a new name (like "Appearance" or something), so users will not get confused with an old name.

Hi UserLS,

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll add your request to the wish-list to be considered for next releases.

More about this editor. I believe (correct me if I am wrong) that on the image page we are missing one check box - for the ImageTransparent property. It is sometimes very helpful, and I cannot find any place in the editor, where it can be set.

Also, as long as I do not select an image, switching pages changes my settings. But if I do select an image, then only Gradient page keeps this behavior. Switching to Image page does nothing, Solid and Hutch will switch you back to use image (so, if I want to go back to solid color, I actually have to go to image page, clear the image and only then select Solid page).

Hi UserLS,

Thanks for the info. I have added this to the same list item.

More things to fix here: I select a color on the "Solid" page, than I go to the "Hutch" page, which allows me to select background color. I suspect, it is the same color, but since the two pages do not talk to each other, they are not respecting the other page selection, which looks like broken UI.

Hi UserLS,

Thanks for reporting. I've added this to the list too.
