Chart editor flickers and causes errors

Post by Olsen » Tue Jan 17, 2006 2:17 pm

Hi

I use Visual Basic .NET 2003, and TeeChart Pro version 2 for Visual Studio.NET.

I have two different tcharts in my VB solution. When I envoke the editor with tchart1.showeditor, the editor flickers, as if it is being re-drawn all the time. The CPU consumption goes to 100%. In one chart, if I click a series in the editor, it crashes with an exception:

An unhandled exception of type 'System.ArgumentException' occurred in system.windows.forms.dll

Additional information: Invalid parameter used.

In the other chart the flickering doesn't start until I have clicked a series twice, and then move the editor on the screen. In this chart the editor works fine, except for the flickering and CPU consumption.

Is this a bug in the editor, and if so, are there any hotfixes available for download?

Best regards, Lars Olsen

Hi Lars,

I'm not able to reproduce what you report here using TeeChart for .NET v2 Debug Build posted yesterday at our Customer Download Area. Which TeeChart version are you using? You can check the latest releases available at our Version Info page or our Customer Download Area.

If you can reproduce it using latest TeeChart version available, could you please post the exact steps we should follow to reproduce it here?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Narcis

Currently we use version 2.0.2040.15119. We will try to upgrade to the latest version, and see if the problem persists.

Thanks for a quick reply

Best regards, Lars Olsen
