Some problems with openGL

Post by bairog » Mon Jul 17, 2006 11:57 am

While using teeOpenGL in my 3D chart I've discovered some problems:
1) Chart title that was correctly drawn without openGL (this title is in Russian language) is replaced by some trash symbols after using openGL.

Should I use a special font (I used Microsoft Sans Serif, 22pt, bold) or openGL supports only English?

2)I've made bottom wall visible and transparent, but as you can see it is drawn non-transparent(this only happens if I use openGL and size3D property is set to 0).

3)I've discovered that openGL and surfaceNearestTool don't work together(surfaceNearestTool.selectedIndex is always -1). Is there any way to make them work?

Thank you.[/img]

Hi bairog,

Thanks for reporting. Please find below the answers to your questions:
  • 1. This is because OpenGL doesn't support double-byte charactersets, it is not Unicode compliant.
    2. I could reproduce the issue here and added it (TF02011592) to our defect list to be fixed for future releases.
    3. I could also reproduce this and added the issue (TF02011596) to the bug list.

I can't understand exactly what do you mean. Is there any way to write Russian text (title, annotation or label) in openGL 3D chart or this is impossible?

Thank you.

Hi bairog,

No, writting Russian text (or any other double-byte characterset language) is not possible with OpenGL as it doesn't support double-byte characters.
