Compass heading on Line plot

Post by Rocket » Thu Oct 05, 2006 10:25 am

I have 2 problems I need to fix centred around trying to plot compass heading on a Line Chart. Time is on the X axis and compass heading in on the Y axis.

When the compass heading is oscillating between 350 and 10 degrees I don't want the line to be jumping up and down the screen. I want to some how wrap around the Y axis again so the transition from 350 to 10 looks the same visual as going from 170 to 190 degrees.

Any ideas on this one?

Also the 2nd part of the problem is the averaging function. If the heading is changing from 350 to 10 degrees fairly evenly then the avarage heading is 10 degrees but in my plots it is coming up as 180.

Again does anyone have a neat idea to fix this too?

Thanks
