a bug?

hi, Narcis
when i add the contour series to the tchart component, the object treeview window keeps flicking, the toolbar and the menu of delphi crashed, a error message which is "access violation at address 40045cb4 in module 'rtl70.bpl'.read of address 00000004." is poped up. i wonder wether it is a bug of the teechart. The component is used under Delphi 7 and Teechart7.07.

This has been fixed for TeeChart Pro v8 VCL which is the current version we are working in. If you are interested in beta-testing TeeChart v8 we can send you the details to obtain this version.

Hello Dynamed,

Have you tried the actual version to see if it works as you wish?
Note the first TeeChart v8 releases were published on 2008, meaning v7 is really old to work on patches for it.

Yes works great for all program versions that use, omly a new development made with colorgrid, and I need to plot some contour area this colorgrid (as a topography map) then trying to use this function, the component interferes in all actions of delphi. what I noticed was that by default the axis is automatic checked, if not checked this improvement option, and does not interfere much.
I will try to still use, but the 7.05 version is quite stable for the other applications that have (Because of this, we not upgrade), only this bug in the contour of series.
