problem to install teechart

Hi

, I have a problem to install teechart v8.02 in vista and Builder C++2007, the message leaves me "The installer has detected that CodeGear Delphi in use. Please close CodeGear delphi and any open delphi help files before running the instalation" and I do not have anything active. That can be? thanks

Could you please check that there is no bds.exe process still running on your machine?

Hola Narcis, there is not ningun process of bds.exe being executed in the machine, I have revised all the processes and programs being executed. The Seen operating system, in the Xp that I have in the portatil no problem gives me.

Hola José,

The installer only looks for the bds.exe process in the machine's process list. In Vista it could be that you are not running the installer with administrator rights and the installer doesn't have access to the process list. You could try clicking the installer with the right mouse button and select Run as administrator.

Hello, some months ago I had problems upon installing the teechart v8.02 in vista and Builder C++2007, you advised me in the forum do not I function and finally did not I install it. Now I have changed of the Xp where had installed the teechart v8.02 in Builder C++2007 to vista and you find me again with the message that me does not leave to continue and is not for the accounts of user, someone can help me, thanks

continues me giving the same problem, next I have installed another program to test in the RAD Studio 2007 in concrete the 'FastReport 4', that also is installed with implementable and is installed me well.

This is really strange. We have checked the installer and it really only looks for bds.exe running in the machine. Have you tried running the installer choosing the "Run as administrator" option as I told you before? Can you reproduce the same issue in another Windows Vista machine?

I have two jpg so that see the message and the programs in execution. They are two teams with view, I am able enviartelos to some mail. The question is that i would like to test an installation without sought the dbs.exe in execution, ¿is possible?

Hola José,

You can post your files at news://www.steema.net/steema.public.attachments newsgroup or at our upload page.

You can run the installer in a machine where bds.exe is not running but you won't be able to install the packages in a machine where RAD Studio 2007 (or any of its personalities) is not installed.

Hola Narcís,
Tengo dos impresiones de pantalla con el mensaje que me da la instalación del TeeChart en dos máquinas diferentes que tienen Vista, y la ventana del administrador de tareas en la que no aparece ningún componente en ejecución del RAD Estudio 2007, por supuesto las dos tienen instalado el RAD Estudio 2007. La pregunta que te hacia es la siguiente ¿es posible preparar una instalación en la que no compruebe si se esta ejecutando el bds.exe?, como los mensajes de error son bastante inexactos, sería una forma de continuar la instalación y ver si da algún otro error o por el contrario continua instalandose.

Hola José,

No creo que esta sea la mejor solución. Si no pudieramos solucionar este problema quizá podriamos mandarte los packages descomprimidos y TeeInstall.exe que los instala directament al IDE pero si el instalador detecta RAD Studio 2007 ejecutandose seguramente TeeInstall.exe también lo detecte.

Series tan amable de mandarnos las capturas de pantalla? También seria útlil si nos mandas una captura de los processos del Administrador de Tareas.

También podrias provar de instalar algun software cómo Unlocker, ejecutar-lo sobre bds.exe y comprovar que no hay ningún otro proceso que lo está utilizando.
