Spacing of ticks on Gauges series
Spacing of ticks on Gauges series
Is there any way to change the spacing of ticks on the gauges series. If I have a maximum ticks value set at say 500 the tick labels write over each other and this makes the chart pretty much unreadable / unusable.
CHange the Maximum value on the Ticks tab for your Gauges sample to say 250 and you will see what I mean.

Also, it appears that if you set the MAXIMUM value to a large number say 500 and then back to 100 the arrow is not redrawn in the correct position.
Try this on the Gauges sample.
Set the Value to 100 on the Options tab
On the Ticks tab set the MAXIMUM value to 500, the chart redraws but the arrow is in the wrong place.
Set the MAXIMUM value back to 100 the chart redraws but the arrow is still in the wrong place, go to the Options tab again, the VALUE is still 100.

Hi Adrian,
This defect was assigned a bug-tracking number before the release of version 3.2.2945.19736. Therefore, if the defect had been fixed for this release then mention of it together with its reference number would have appeared in the release notes. As you can see in the release notes here:
http://www.steema.com/files/public/teec ... elease.txt
No mention of the defect being resolved is made. As a general rule of thumb, and to save you time, one can consider defects which are not stated as resolved in the release notes as still being a problematic issue. In this sense, there is little need for you to check that they are still there.

Hi ctusch,
Yes, this is a bug (TF02012707) which hasn't been fixed yet. I have increased its priority but I can't give an estimate date for the fix. There's no workaround I can think of at the moment.

Hello Narcis,
this is a bit of a problem. The tech demo aside (we can use a small value range for it) our product will be released in august and gauges are one of our promised features. One of the reasons why we chose your product is because of exactly this feature. Is it really impossible to give an estimate?

Hi ctusch,
I could reproduce the issue here and added it (TF02013052) to the bug list to be fixed for future releases.
You can either post your files at news://www.steema.net/steema.public.attachments newsgroup or at our upload page.
Thanks in advance.
e.g. When you set the Minimum property the whole circle rotates (doesn't happen when you set the Maximum).

I couldn't reproduce this. Could you please send us a simple example project we can run "as-is" to reproduce the problem here? Also the labels overlap with the chart title. Thanks again for your positive response!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that they only overlap if you set gauges1.LabelsInside = false.narcis wrote:I couldn't reproduce this. Hi ctusch,
Thanks for the information. I could reproduce the issue here and added it to the wish-list to be enhanced for next releases. In the meantime, a workaround is adding an empty text line to the title.
