Transparent Colors for Map Series

Post by Bob » Wed Jun 30, 2004 1:56 pm

I use TeeChart mainly for scientific/engineering graphs. A very common need for our graphs is to show a "Safe Operating Region" or "Operating Envelope". This "Safe region" is usually a multisided polygon that is bounded by several lines or curves on the graph. In order for the "Safe region" to be more visible, it is commonly cross-hatched or filled with a color.

It is possible to fill these regions with TeeChart using a Map Series and Polygon fills. Unfortunately, the fill color or pattern is always opaque, preventing the view of the information behind it. This makes the graph almost useless. I would like to have Transparent colors and Transparent pattern fills available for the Map Series. I was told by the support staff that this would be available for version 7 (Active X), but it doesn't appear to be there in the beta release.
