Image on the background and walls

Post by UserLS » Fri Jan 16, 2009 6:15 am

Ok, I can set an image there. I am using your editor - so no code examples, just try it. Go to Panel -> Background and select an image... It is not there! Ok, go to patterns, switch to image page there - it shows the image you've selected! Why it is not there? Ok, if I just jump to hatch page (do nothing, just make it active) and go back to image - miracle happen! image is finally there! Now, I want to change style. Hmm... Stretch and tile work as expected, Center does create a tiled image PLUS an image in the center, Normal and Tiled are not different at all! Another observation: if I select an image, the <Browse> button becomes <Clear> and if I click on it: sure enough it clears the image and switches back to <Browse>. But if I select an image, close the brush editor and open it again - I have selected image and <Browse> button. Well, it lies, it is actually <Clear> button, and clicking on it still clears the image, but the caption is wrong.

BTW, what it the point of having on all those screens <Pattern> button and <Gradient> button (which allow you to edit the same thing, which is available under pattern) just next to each other? Do you think your screens are not confusing enough without them?

Also, if I set image for a back wall and use Tile style - the image will run outside of the right and bottom edges of wall.

Hi UserLs!

First point

I have added them to the wish-list to be enhanced for next releases.

Second point

Also, if I set image for a back wall and use Tile style - the image will run outside of the right and bottom edges of wall.
I reproduce your exemple, and I think that its a bug request [TF02013746] thanks for your information.

Best Regards,
Sandra Pazos

And the first point is just an enhancement?!! Do you really think, it is working and just needs an improvement? Sorry, but I consider it to be a huge bug, which clearly needs to be fixed! I am not sure, how you can release your software with bugs, like this, but I can not release mine like this for sure!

Hi UserLS,

Both the "bug list" and "wish-list" are internally the same. The only difference is the type we assign to each issue. This one has been logged in with ID number TF02013748. We review *all* the issues on the list and implement/fix them based on our priority criteria. TF02013748 has been set as a bug too.
