Looking forward to version 9... what's coming?

well if you take a look at the PDF file you will find die information that there will be an beta V9 (VCL) at the end of the 1st Qtr.
We are in the middle of march and I want to ask you if we could expect a V9 beta in 3-4 weeks.
And have you some information what kind of new features will be added?

We expect to be able to make the Beta version available during May.

The new feature list includes many enhancements to existing functionality, plus new Series and Component types. We expect to be able to make more details available soon.

I have no idea. However I don't think there will be any important change and will follow recent Steema's pricing policy.

We haven't done tests with Free Pascal or Lazarus. However, at some stage Lazarus changes broke TeeChart's compatibility as was discussed here:

We are aware that recently new Lazarus release have been published. If you want to give your TeeChart version a go with it at the thread below you can download the compilation files.

Beta version release is imminent, please be a little bit patient for the new features list .

It's now almost two weeks later. I realize "imminent" is a relative word, but it is pretty quiet. I am looking forward to at least looking at what is to be. Any idea when?

Not this weekend yet but hopefully very soon. There are a couple of issues we'd like to iron out before publishing it. Please take for granted that we are working on solving them and willing to get this beta out of the door!

Is there a time frame for the new version 9 ?
You have announced that it could be in the first quarter of 2009, now it is end of 2009.

The new opengl looks very interesting.
