Shape series bug isn't fixed

I'm trying to use a shape series but when I add it at design time I get a null reference exception. I searched the forums and it said it was fixed in version 1.1.1769.19457 but this is the version I'm using and I still have problems with it. I can add a shape sequence at run time but if I try to change the shapestyle (I want rectangle - the default seems to be circle) I get a null reference exception. Has anyone got any ideas or experienced the same problems with this version?

Hi SteveR,

I have tried to reproduce it here but worked perfectly. I used builds: 1.1.1644.16795 and 1.1.1797.19456.

Can you check if your project references are ok. Could you also send as a small project so we can reproduce the problem "as-is" here?

To send us any project please post it in our steema.public.attachments newsgroups.

I can't access the attachments newsgroup (error message: You aren't allowed to post to the groups: public.attachments). You can download the following file which contains an installer for a sample project. If you add a shape series to it you should get a null reference error message. (I can also repeat this on another PC, both are running VS2003 on XP SP2).

I can't access the attachments newsgroup (error message: You aren't allowed to post to the groups: public.attachments).

This must be because of your machine/LAN/... security configuration which is blocking you from accessing the newsgroups as standard ports and no username/pwd are necessary.

I have also downloaded your project. Where does the installer copies the project to test it?

the project installer adds TeeChartTest into your wwwroot folder.

Hi Steve,

I have been able to reproduce it. This bug was solved for WinForms but not for WebForms.

I have added it to our deffect list to be repaired for future releases.
