ClickableLine issue

Post by Bert » Wed Dec 22, 2004 1:12 pm

Hello,

I am a happy user of TeeChart 6 but found the following problem with ClickableLine.

The easiest way to demonstrate it is by using the TeeChart7 demo application and search for ClickableLine. There is one demo.

The problem is that you cannot click the line when X-value of the left point of the line is outside the X-value range of the chart.

Check the CheckBox `Clickable line' and move the chart to the left a few pixels with the right mouse button. Note that you cannot click the leftmost line.

Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

Regards,
Bert

Hi Bert,

I'm sorry, I cannot reproduce the problem here. Using the Clickable Line demo of TeeChart Pro v7 I can move the Series a little and still working fine. Do you do any other step to reproduce it ?

Hello Pep,

I assume that you found the demo in Tee7New.exe.
When you start the demo, you will see values 0, 1, .. 7 on the X-axis of the chart.
Now you can click on the line between X-values 0 and 1.
Move the chart to the left a little bit, until the X-value 0 disappears from the X-axis.
Now you can no longer click on the line between X-values 0 and 1.

Regards,
Bert

Hi Bert,

ah.. ok, I see what you refer. This is a normal behaviour (as default), it happens because the line of the pointer is starting outside the Chart. However I've added this on our defect/wish list so we can consider to modify it so it can work in this case.

Hello Pep,

In my perception it is not normal behaviour but a minor bug.
Is it possible to create a fix for it now instead of putting it on the wish list? This is a relative important issue for me.

Hi Bert,

ok, I've changed the importance of this one on our defect/wish list so it can be considered to inclusion for the next maintenance releases.

Hello Pep,

Thank you.
I will order the update (because I currently use version 6) when the fix is available.

Hi Bert,

no, still not fixed/added in the latest sources, we'll try to implement it for the next releases.

It has been added in the latest TeeChart Pro sources (available at the private customers download area).
