TeeChart.Pocket.dll

I just installed the most recent release (TeeChart for .NET v2012 [31 JAN 2013] RELEASE 4.1.2012.01310) for Visual Studio 2008, and I can no longer find TeeChart.Pocket.dll. It was there with the previous release. Where can I get this file? Shouldn't it have been included with the install? I need to find the compact framework library ASAP!

Hi Mark,

Compact Framework and ReportingServices assemblies are currently not being included in the production version of TeeChart unless future customer demand signals its need. In the meantime we are prepared to work with any customer that demands the assemblies on a case by case basis to certify its compatibility and featureset. In the meantime, you can use the assemblies included with previous versions.

Compact Framework support was the entire reason I chose the TeeChart product. I paid for my license in December based on that support being present. There was never any mention of dropping support, and how can you drop support in a maintenance release? It would be one thing if you made an announcement that support for compact framework was being discontinued but it is wrong to just drop it without notice from a maintenance release 1 month after I paid for the product. I would never have paid for a product in which I was locked forever into the current version with no future support had I known. There was not even any notice given that I am aware of that installing this maintenance release would cause me to loose functionality. Now my desktop and embedded versions of my software will never be able to be in sync unless I forgo all future desktop upgrades as well. I find this unacceptable. Your "Products" page still lists compact framework support, as does the "feature summary". At a minimum, I feel you should upgrade my license to include the source code so I can attempt to provide my own support to this product going forward if you are going to just drop support on me without notice. There were competing products I could have chosen had I known that support would be gone literally days after I paid for my license. Please let me know what my options are.

Hi Mark,

Apologies for the inconvenience this confusion may have caused. As I already said in my reply, we are willing to prepare Compact Framework builds on demand. That's because CF doesn't work with .NET Framework 4.0 and 4.5 which means it doesn't compile with Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2012. Anyway, that's what we are going to do. We will prepare a build for you and re-include Pocket in current TeeChart for .NET builds.

As an update, TeeChart.Pocket.dll for the current TeeChart for .NET release is now available at the client area as a standalone download.
