Tchart and reporting services for SQL Server 2008 R2

Hi there,
I'm interested in utilising tchart in SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 R2 and later SQL Server 2012. Can you confirm that the current build of Tchart for dot net will work in these environments and if so, can you point me in the direction of some documentation to show how to set it all up.

Hello Adrian,

I am afraid that the most recent builds of TeeChart for .NET no longer include support for Reporting Services, the last TeeChart build to do so was 4.1.2012.09280 in February this year (supports Reporting Services v2008 R2). We do not have any near term plans to support SQL Server 2012 so unfortunately can't at the moment offer you a native Reporting Services TeeChart solution for the project format you describe.

I'm still looking for ways to provide Tchart visualisation within SQL Reporting Services. I believe I can build my own component which can render a graphic that SSRS can use so will be going down that path. However I just wanted to quickly check to see if your previous post about tchart in SSRS not being supported was still true and if so, can you tell me what

I can confirm that support for SQL reporting services has been dropped from TeeChart.NET. The reason for this was quite simple: our belief that none of TeeChart's users was actually using it. To date, you are the only client I am aware of that has made reference to its disappearance.

The reference you refer to on Steema's website is an oversight and will be removed as soon as possible.
