Polar/Smith - Zooming and Contouring

Hi,

I have some questions related to the Smith series. Actually to the Polar series in general.

1. Zooming and Panning
We've been requesting this feature already since June 2006 (http://www.teechart.net/support/viewtop ... 963#p17963), but haven't seen any progress so far. I even know some people of another company, by coincidence met them at a conference once and they saw I was also using TeeChart, that were requesting this already long before we did. Is there some intention to add this to TeeChart in a reasonable timeframe?
Until now it was not a high-priority thing to us, but now we would like to add this feature in our own software. If it's not gonna be added by TeeChart, we'll have to do it ourselves. That's the reason for the question.

2. Contouring
Is there a ready-to-use contouring series for a smith chart? Similar to the Countour series that already exists, which is on a cartesian grid. We would really like to have this capability.
I know that we can start to draw it manually (e.g. use a Smith series for every circle), but in that case you need to calculate the contours beforehand and it's not as nice as using a single SmithContour series which does it all. Also I do not see an easy option then to allow to fill the levels with a brush.

Actually Zoom,we have implemented in new version of VCL 9 and I think is more likely soon there are implemented in .Net version for Polar Series. On the other han scroll at the momment not supported for VCL 9, therefore neither support TeeChartFor .Net. But I have this as a wish-lis with number [TF02014510].

2. Contouring

Is there a ready-to-use contouring series for a smith chart?

At the moment not exist a contour that could be used for a smith chart. But I have added your suggestion in wish-list with number [TF02014511].

On the other hand, I think there intrested for you use PolarGrid, that is a Hybrid for ColorGrid and Polar. You could found a example in demo of TeeChartFor .Net specifically in All Feauters\Welcome !\Chart styles\Extended\Polar Grid. But, you need too convert Contour Series to ColorGrid Series, see demo that converts Contour to ColorGrid All Feature\Welcome !\Chart styles\Extended\Contour\Foot Example.
