MarksTip behaves abnormally with undocked window

I have a chart with a line series that shows marksTips when the mouse hovers. The chart is in a dockable window. Everything works fine until I undock the window. Then the marksTips do not display properly.

How should I proceed in debugging this? It's a typical situation when two components are involved (docking window and chart) and it is always tough to figure out whether the problem is in the chart or the docking window.
